Life is a Rollercoaster

Hove towards Brighton at sun-up.
5am.

I wore my pink cotton scull cap to bed last night to collect any (many) stray hairs. Woke up at 5am this morning (seagulls again) so decided to take a stroll down to the front. It was a beautiful calm morning. I walked for miles. When I got back I was so frustrated with my hair, as it feels bruised and sensitive, that I asked Chris to cut it shorter, a first for both of us! We sat in the back garden with a blunt pair of scissors and a mirror. You can guess the rest... it's OK though I won't have this style for long!!

We took the children to the pier today, Oscar and Rebecca went on The Turbo rollercoaster with Tommy. On the way back I bought some new hats, eyelashes and glasses, along with a brow pen. Perhaps I should become a spy. Dinner in the tent again with the students staying at P&C's. Amalia, the chatty girl from Spain, very kindly bought me some lovely flowers.
I had amnesia once -
maybe twice

Hair we go....

Was awoken at 5.30am by the seagull dawn chorus, what a racket!.. Chorus is not the word. My hair started falling out by the handful this morning, how glad am I that I have packed Common Bob for a trip to the seaside?

Tommy and I went into Brighton City centre. In The Laines we arranged to have my great-granny's engagement ring resized to fit me and also Tommy's wedding band resized to fit his broken finger (karate accident) and then went for a pub lunch before buying a bracelet to house the charm which Pete and Chris bought me!

Doctor, Doctor my hair keeps falling out, can you give me anything to keep it in?

Yes, here is a carrier bag!

B-Right-On

A lazy morning getting ready to leave for Brighton, a good journey arrived in the sunshine, watched the olympics, whilst the cousins all played outside together. We all had dinner in the back garden in a tent! (when in Brighton?) I am now ready for an early night set for a day out in Brighton tomorrow.

I saw a man at the beach screaming, 'Help, shark, help!' I laughed because I knew the shark wasn't going to help him.

Holiday

Saturday, my last day at work for 2 weeks. We had booked to go to Germany and Luxemburg for our Summer holiday, but the hospital has advised me not to do any foreign travel, so we had to cancel.

So tomorrow we are off to Brighton for a week to stay with my brother Pete, Chris and the girls (yes, Chris is female). I am so looking forward to it, and feel I may be able to experiment with my headscarves; what with being in Brighton where anything goes!

Saw a lady in Hertford today who was wearing the same wig as I have! What are the chances of that? Perhaps I should change the name from 'T'Wiggy' to 'Common Bob'!

A nice box of chocolates provides your total daily intake of calories in one place. Isn't that handy?

Retired at 46?

I got a large, hard-backed envelope in the post this morning... it was a certificate!

I had recently been donating my rare blood to the NHS, but now they don't want it anymore and can never accept mine again due to my cancer. It was headed Blood Donor Retirement.
Wedding hat?

My other mail was an evening Wedding Invitation for September; so excited (can people wear big hats to evening do's?!!! or perhaps I should go shopping for a special wig). I love a good wedding.

I feel loads better than yesterday, that was horrid. Spent a chillaxing day at home with the kids.

I have now exceeded 3,000 hits to my blog, who are these people?

I distrust camels, and anyone else who can go a week without a drink!

Tomato Soup

Last night LR, another twin mum, came round, we sat and chatted and ate strawberries and cookies. She is into all these reality programmes, so now is hooked on my blog!

Woke up feeling good this morning but after being in work a little while I got back bone pains in my lower spine, it had been my last day of the injections which stimulate the bone marrow to get into high gear to produce white blood cells, so this is probably related. All along, up until now, I had been doing quite good, I just had most of the symptoms of pregnancy, ie funny smells, heartburn, indigestion, nausia and tiredness with a bit of breathlessness thrown in.

Fatigue also set in today so I left work early to come home for a nap. The twins arrived back from their break at the grandparents, but I wasn't up to getting up. It's early evening now and I feel a tad better after my favourite illness remedy... tomato soup! Am now at the point where my immune system is at it's lowest so have to be careful around germs.

Great to have my babies back.
